Slowing Down

My ways are not my own. How I was reminded of this early this week. A missed step and bouncing down the steps on my rear (the kids due it without repercussions ) all I got was a fractured tail bone and sitting is awful painful. We revamped our week, taking out a day with a daughter and a field trip, we instead got on the Mayflower and settled into life in the New World as Pilgrims. We then went thru 100 years to start the Revolutionary War. Today we are baking/cooking colonial foods and learning why they ate what they did. Ben and Me was a great cartoon movie introducing Ben Franklin. Johnny Tremain was an excellent movie about the Revolutionary War. We spent time learning about Leukemia, white blood cells and chemotherapy. All to prepare us for what Grandpa will be facing in the next months. The wonderful Doctors at the VA have given Grandpa only 3 to 9 months to live. Please remember to pray for his salvation. We are thankfull for the trip we had in September with Grandpa. They are memories we will always cherish. We feel we still have things to do with Grandpa, like go to the Black Hills and out to Colorado again. Grandpa has blessed us with many stories of his younger years and time spent serving in Korea. He is our Hero!
